BZC Sangha Members Attend Retreat with Reb Anderson
Published May 27th, 2009
On May 15th, several BZC sangha members traveled to Pennsylvania to attend a retreat led by Zen teacher Tenshin Reb Anderson Roshi. Reb Anderson was ordained as priest by Suzuki Roshi in 1970 and is a former abbot of the San Francisco Zen Center. He currently resides at Green Gulch Farm, where he is a senior dharma teacher. The theme of the retreat, which was held at the Kearns Spirituality Center in Pittsburgh, was “The Perfect Wisdom and Compassion of the Bodhisattvas.” Along with the Brooklyn crew, several other sanghas were represented there. From what I’ve heard, everybody had a great experience. Click here to see some more photos from the retreat.
