Brooklyn Zen Center
Tenshin Reb Anderson Roshi will be leading a 5-day meditation retreat at Brooklyn Zen Center from Wednesday, June 11th through Sunday, June 15th. There will be an orientation for the retreat on Tuesday evening, June 10th, at 7:00pm.
This retreat will focus on the Perfection of Wisdom and the Bodhisattva’s Good Friendship. This friendship is the context in which the true nature of Bodhisattva practice — which in the zen school is called Zazen — is realized.
The schedule will go from 9am to 9pm on the first 4 days, and from 9am to 2pm on the last day. The schedule will feature periods of sitting and walking meditation, service, and a short work period. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet with Reb Anderson Roshi for private practice discussion.
A vegetarian lunch and dinner will be served on the first 4 days, and lunch will be served on the last day.
All participants are encouraged to attend the full retreat (all 5 days). A minimum attendance of 3 consecutive days is required.
Registration for the retreat is closed.
