Please join us Saturday, April 25, for our usual Saturday morning schedule, which will include a dharma talk by BZC’s root teacher Teah Strozer, as well as a community lunch. Here’s the full schedule for the morning:

– 09:45 am – Doors open
– 10:20 am – Zazen (sitting meditation)
– 11:00 am – Dharma talk
– 12:00pm – Community lunch ($10 suggested donation)

About Teah Strozer

Soshin Teah Strozer is BZC’s root teacher. Teah is a Zen Buddhist priest, dharma teacher, and lineage-holder in the Soto Zen tradition of Shunryu Suzuki Roshi. She received dharma transmission from Sojun Mel Weitsman. Teah has been practicing meditation since 1967, lived at Tassajara Monastery for 11 years, and has studied directly under Shunryu Suzuki Roshi, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Dainin Katagiri Roshi. Teah has taught for many years at the San Francisco Zen Center and also at the Bay School of San Francisco, where she served as the chaplain. Teah  served as BZC’s guiding teacher until December 2017.


Access Notes: There is one short flight of stairs leading to the Carroll Street entrance of the building; please press 3-0 to be buzzed in. From there, the center is located at the top of a longer flight of stairs. A ramp and elevator are available via an alternate entrance on President Street; please email us in advance if you need access to the ramp. Chairs, benches, and extra support cushions are available.
