“This is Kwan Yin, the Bodhisattva of compassion. The one, they say, that hears the cries of the world. […] For me it feels more important than ever that we find the capacity within ourselves to respond to those cries of the world, whether the cries are in our own heart – ways that we are suffering personally. Whether they’re cries in our relationships with each other. Whether they’re the cries within these power structures or the cries of Mother Earth herself.”
