Upcoming Sound Bath events at Brooklyn Zen Center
There are several upcoming opportunities to attend this event. Future dates are listed below. These are separate identical events. Tickets are $35 in advance and also $35 cash at the door. Please note we only accept cash at the door. Sound baths are 90 minutes long, starting at 7pm (but see below for more specifics).
The Sound Bath Experience
Imagine sinking in to a “bath” of soothing sounds that take you on an inner journey of relaxation and transformation. By using frequency and “entrainment,” a sound bath facilitates a shift in brainwaves from our normal waking state to alpha and theta states that are akin to meditation—where true somatic healing can occur.
Nate Martinez, an integrative sound therapist, creates a sound bath by using various techniques with a wide range of instruments that include: shamanic drumming, Biosonic tuning forks, gongs, a shruti box, Himalayan singing bowls, mbiru, chimes, percussion, and voice.
Please bring a yoga mat, blanket, and eye mask (if you choose to cover your eyes during the session).
Please arrive by 6:50pm. The sound bath will begin 7:05pm, at which time the doors will be locked and entry will be closed in order to prevent any disruptions. Again, no entry will be allowed after 7:05pm. Sound baths are 90 minutes long.
Please also note our full cancellation policy: There are no refunds for events with registration fees under $50.
