Peer-to-peer fundraising isn’t about asking everyone for everything. It’s about inviting people into something meaningful with you. It starts with clarity, connection, and care. Here are a couple of first steps to help you begin participating in BZC’s Peer-to-Peer Fundraiser:
Step 1: Ground in Your “Why”
Before you set up your page or send any messages, take a moment to reflect. This is your chance to offer a personal doorway into the shared space of practice and care that is Brooklyn Zen Center.
Ask yourself:
Let these reflections shape the short message you write on your fundraising page. Keep it real and in your voice. Think of it as a letter to a friend.
Step 2: Begin with People
Fundraising is relational. So start by making a list of people. Who are you already in relationship with?
