“If a no-talent show happens at BZC and no one’s around to see it…does it really happen?” – Famous Zen Koan
Perhaps the above koan is not famous, or even real, but it is true! We want YOU at BZC’s first annual “No-Talent” Skit Night!
Sign up here to perform or present.
Come do anything you would like to entertain your friends and sangha members, whether it is a poem, an impression, a song, a skit, or perhaps the fact that you can lick your elbow. Although we stress that no “talent” is needed (ie. your performance does not have to make the cut for Carnegie Hall or Broadway), whatever you bring to the table is welcome! It can be silly or earnest; off-the-cuff or planned. Just like thoughts and emotions during zazen, we welcome it all!
If you’re feeling unsure, you can also reach out to Jules Becerra (jnicolebecerra@gmail.com) or Austin Guest (guest.austin@gmail.com) to talk through your idea, and get any support or equipment you might need.
Hoping to see you there!
