The Full Moon Ceremony is an ancient ritual practiced since the time of Shakyamuni Buddha. In this ceremony, we come together as a sangha to give voice to our aspirations, renew our agreements to live in harmony, and offer gratitude to our teachers. This beautiful ceremony deeply touches the minds, bodies, and hearts of all who participate.
This traditional ceremony involves bowing and chanting in a call-and-response format, making it accessible for newcomers. You’re welcome to adapt the bows in whatever way works for your body.
Schedule note: This month, due to scheduling needs, we will have a precept renewal closer to the new moon on 2/11. (This is the same as the Full Moon Ceremony, just a little later than the full moon this month). The ceremony also takes place prior to the Way Seeking Mind Talk. All are welcome to stay and attend both!
Health & Safety: Please be mindful of others’ health concerns. If you’re feeling unwell, please stay home. If you have any doubts about your health, please wear a mask.
Note: This event will not be live-streamed.
