Join us for an in-person Qigong Fundraiser for Brooklyn Zen Center (BZC) with Sally Chang! All proceeds of the program will benefit BZC and our ongoing dharma offerings.
Eight Silk Brocades Qigong Workshop
Saturday 10am – 5pm, Sunday 10am – 1pm
Sally Chang will guide you in learning the Eight Silk Brocades, one of the oldest and most influential Qigong forms. It is deeply nourishing, strengthening, and centering. In addition we will be including partner work with light contact, to highlight the lively, relational aspects of Qigong.
Physical expectations will be standing, raising up and down, and raising the arms above the head, all according to ability. If you have special needs, please email us ahead of time.
We ask that all participants be fully vaccinated and boosted. Masks will be required indoors at all times. Please see the BZC Covid Protocol for additional information. We are currently at risk level YELLOW and masks are required indoors at all times.
Lunch will not be served on Saturday. Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch or go out for lunch (there will be an ample break in the middle of the day.)
Online Friday Evening Conversation

The program includes a special Online Friday Evening Conversation with Sally Chang and BZC dharma teacher Shingetsu Laura O’Loughlin. The Online Friday Evening Conversation is open to all who would like to attend just the talk – offered online ONLY. Participants will receive log in details after registering.
About Sally Chang
Sally Chang is Chief Instructor of Evergreen Taiji Academy. She is a Teacher, Acupuncturist, and 30+ year practitioner of Daoist Wisdom Arts including Qigong, Taiji, and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Sally’s teachings focus on cultivating the innate capacity for healing; and she is known for her warm, focused presence.
Access Notes: We are in an historical building which is not wheelchair accessible. There are two flights of stairs leading to the center, located on the second floor.
