Please join us on Sunday, December 31st, for our New Year’s Eve Sit and Celebration at Ancestral Heart temple.
The evening will begin with a period of temple cleaning at 5:30 PM, followed by a traditional Japanese noodle soup. At 7 PM, we’ll sit three periods of zazen. During the last period, we’ll sound 108 bells that will ring in the New Year. This is a joyous and peaceful way to mark this transition in community.

7:30 Kinhin (walking meditation)
7:40 Zazen
8:10 Kinhin
8:20 Zazen (with 108 bells)
9:00 Ritual Fire (burning of hindrances for the New Year)
9:30 Refuges & End
Please register (below) by December 31. Pricing exemption requests are due December 24. (See more info under Equitable Pricing below.) This event will be limited to 25 participants, so please register early.

Financial Assistance: No one will be turned away due to financial constraints. If you are unable to pay the lowest rate, please use this form to request a pricing exemption. Note that exemption requests are due at least one week prior to the event start date unless stated otherwise.

Parking is available at the Millerton Zendo, located at 1 John Street, Millerton, NY. Shuttle service to Ancestral Heart will be provided.
