All new members of Brooklyn Zen Center are now eligible to take part in a new 3-month program that will introduce them to the various aspects of community practice at BZC. We’re calling it the Beginner’s Mind Experience.
As part of this program, new members will have the opportunity to join a peer practice group, have private practice discussions with teachers, and also receive discounts on introductory classes. In addition, during these three months members will be introduced to the various ways Zen is put into practice in the kitchen, the meditation hall and other shared spaces at the center. The first 3-month group will start in October and go through December 2016. New peer groups will start every few months after that.
Our intention is that this new program will provide members with a sense of the variety and intimacy of Zen practice in the BZC community — and also show how we can engage these practices in our daily lives.
If you have any questions about this program, please contact our membership coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org
Remember, you must be a member of BZC to participate; you can become a member here.
